Biotech Rocket Climbs on Steady Exchange - E24

Softox is sailing as one of the stock market rockets in the last month of the year. In the past week, the share is up 40 percent.

It’s a relatively quiet start to the week on the Oslo Stock Exchange. The main index rose 0.06 percent after 05 minutes of trading.

Among the most heavily traded exchanges, one finds the oil giant Equinor, which rose by 0.69 percent. Meanwhile, giant salmon Mowi rose 0.79 percent. Hydro, on the other hand, is down 0.9%.

Biotech company Softox, which provides disinfection products, has been in a hurry so far this month. On Monday, the company was able to announce that It won the Swedish tender for disinfecting surfaces.

The non-diamond senior manager describes it as a milestone, as this is the first time the company has won a contract outside of Norway. Softox shares rose 9.51 percent after 25 minutes of trading.

Last week, the company announced that the EU Commission’s interpretation of biocidal regulations allows Softox to enter the EU market and the European Economic Area with all of its disinfectant products. Since then, the share is now up about 40 percent.

Norwegian Traffic Numbers

Ahead of the exchange’s opening, the Norwegian company announced its traffic numbers from November. They showed that two million traveled with the airline, up 700 percent from November last year.

At the same time, they have also reduced capacity for the winter season, and this weekend Norwegian CEO Geir Carlsen announced that Omicron’s deployment could lead to further capacity reductions.

The Norwegian stock was down 0.26% after a quarter of a deal.

Evergrande Heavy Fall

In Asia, stock markets went in different directions on Monday morning. The biggest impact was in Hong Kong, where the stock market fell more than 1 per cent.

Evergrande Real Estate Group has once again made headlines. The company sent a warning that it couldn’t guarantee it had the money to pay off debt claims it received in lap before the weekend, according to Reuters.

Shares of Evergrande were down 17 percent before 9 a.m. Monday.

The price of oil is rising before the stock exchange opens on Monday. The price of a barrel of North Sea oil is $71.48, up 1.51 percent at the time of writing. It is close to the same level as when Borsen closed before the weekend.
