Copenhagen (Aftenboston): Denmark is two steps ahead of Norway in corona epidemics and further advanced in the Omigron wave. So how does it really get there?

Infectious disease doctor Stein Johnson and nurse Maria Christensen have just received a new patient with corona. She needs oxygen because she has a chronic illness.

The woman rarely has a voice, breathes heavily, and twists as she rolls on the sidewalk in bed.

This is not the first time he has been here in the Lung Ward at Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospitals in Copenhagen. He lives in a nursing home and has a long history of COPD and asthma.

– Now you’ve got corona too, says epidemiologist Stein Johnson. He and nurse Maria Christensen wore disposable coats, goggles and gloves before entering.

The woman in the bed nods when asked if she has the flu. Her pulse is high and she is tired. On Thursday, he was one of two new coronary patients in the ward. Two were printed and two new ones arrived.

However, the static figure does not give a completely accurate picture of the situation. Both the doctor and the nurse seem relaxed.

They are in a different place than they were a few weeks ago. What happened?
