Historical

The match started at a fairly high pace, with many duels and high tempo. After ten minutes of play, the first big chance came on the community court.

The home team’s star striker, Evan Toni (25), made a superb pass into the back room and Brian Mbiomo (22) finished off the direct goal. The bullet hit the post and went out!

The fight continued at a high pace, and suddenly it narrowed. Arsenal responded to the attack of Brentford, but the owners of the land regained the ball. Spaniard Sergi Canos rushed onto the field and finished the cash in the short corner behind Bernd Leno who outplayed him in play.

The Spaniard’s goal is historic, as it is Brentford’s first ever Premier League goal. They have not been part of the Premier League since the 1946/47 season, 74 years ago.

– It’s a batch from Brentford all the way. They dare to stand behind under their pressure, Solveig Gulbrandsen of TV 2 said of the home team during the break.

There were no more goals in the first half, and Agger and his teammates could go into the first half with their heads held high.

Arsenal shook

From the start of the second half, Arsenal took charge a little more. After 50 minutes, young Smith-Rowe grumbled in the right flank, then got past the lopsided defender to score 1 – 0, giving Raya the lead.

Ten minutes later, Ager had to go down to count after a duel. The midfielder continued to play for another ten minutes, before being replaced by Dane Mads Sorensen.

Brentford continued to do well at Arsenal, and the London club created very little. Suddenly slammed again.

A long throw throw in by Brentford ended with the Danish Christian Norgaard. The midfielder came on the back post and stabbed the home team with a score of 2-0. Arsenal looked shaky.

It was also the last thing that happened to goals in the opening match. Thus, Brentford wins the series opener and tops the table after playing the first game of the season.

The first round of the English Premier League season 2021/22 continues tomorrow.

Then, among others, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Manchester United meet Leeds in an early match at 13.30.
