It’s well known that Nvidia’s new GeForce RTX 3090 Ti will be one of the most powerful and most expensive video cards in the world, but now we also know that it’s going to draw a lot of power. So far, it has been confirmed that it applies to EVGA’s Kingpin version of the 3090 Ti, which doubles as a 12-pin adapter.

The EVGA RTX 3090 Ti Kingpin is probably one of the better cards in the 3090 Ti series, and there’s no reason to question performance: two (!) 12-pin adapters are needed to give it life. We previously saw that EVGA used three 8-pin adapters in the EVGA 3090 Kingpin. The price of the Ti version is naturally expected to be somewhat higher than the current version without the Ti mark.
The information does not come from an official source, but from QuasarZone, a Chinese forum.
Replaces standard RTX 3090
Neowin reports that Nvidia first introduced 12-pin adapters in connection with the release of the RTX 3000 series Founders Edition card in 2020. Each single 12-pin adapter delivers up to 600 watts, so two bits can account for 1275 watts in an EVGA RTX 3090 ten. The RTX 3090 Ti is expected to have a GA102 core with 10,752 cores and 24GB of GDDR6X memory.
According to the person who posted this information on the forum, the new 3090 Ti Kingpin card will replace the RTX 3090 Kingpin at the end of Q1 2022.
