Almost a year passed since a successful campaign on Indiegogo of Baendit modular sunglasses, the Hong Kong startup of the same name that is back to introduce improved modular platform and new models. Meet cool Sundance Kid, Al Capone and Red Baron editions!
All this time Baendit kept busy improving its models and developing new process materials and engineering flows.
Special alloy, used in Baendit sunglasses, processed and engineered to reach exceptional reversible plasticity properties. Ductility and malleability performances allow the core of the temples and bridge to bend, hold steady and bounce back when pressure is applied. This is further enhanced by flexibility of the silicon casing and the fact that it is connected to the alloy core. A special 4 and 8 pin handmade alloy attachment, coated with a silicon layer, assures ultra tight and strong fit of the temples and bridge pieces inside the carved and reinforced eye frame.
Baendit sunglasses adapt to customer’s lifestyle: wear them loose and comfortable while walking or hiking, or press Baendit tight to the face and be ready for kite surfing or beach volley action. Another awesome feature is modularity: all Baendit pieces are interchangeable. Users can swap colors, mix and match, borrow or trade to create a perfect pair of sunglasses.
Thanks to hybrid metal/silicon polymer core moulded together to keep any shape desired, the sunglasses kits are multipurpose and multifunctional, and useful beyond sun protection.
The new Indiegogo campaign for Baendit sunglasses will run till January 7, 2016. Right now a pair of sunglasses is available for preorder for $110, while regular price will be $149.
