The campaign page on Indiegogo states, that Linc Smart Walkie-Talkie MotoMod for Moto Z smartphones is a revolutionary must-have communication tool for every outdoor enthusiast. The mod by Fantom Dynamics mounts to any Moto Z smartphone using on-board phone magnetic connectors. Once mounted, the smartphone launches the Linc app which allows full access to walkie-talkie functions such as channel selections, radio-over-internet mode, text messaging, VOX, etc.
Unlike other walkie-talkies, its slim design is stylish and lightweight, barely changing the look of a typical smartphone. Other features include an built-in battery that allows extended talk time without using the smartphone’s power, an internal loud speaker, peer-to-peer positioning to broadcast location coordinates that appear on other user screens and more.
Operating on UHF frequency, self programmable 400-480Mhz – FRS/GMRS, Linc is perfect for personal or business use, be it manufacturing, retail, security, education, mining, event planning or any other.
Linc operates on UHF (400-480mhz) and 70 cm (420-450 MHz) bands. For outdoor recreation, Linc has 22 channels available on FRS and GMRS as well as CTCSS or CDCSS for minimizing the amount of unwanted chatter on user’s main channel – an ideal solution for busy areas, like ski resorts.
With a range of up to 5-6 miles, this radio is perfect for family and friends to stay in touch whether you’re climbing a mountain, taking on a backcountry trail, enjoying time in an amusement park, or find yourself in areas with poor mobile connection.
