While we are eagerly awaiting debut of Google’s Ara phone, new companies enter modular devices market. i-BLADES, a start-up from California, is one of the most recent names to emerge.
i-BLADES designed Smartcase for Smasung Galaxy S7, the next-generation smartphone case with smart technology. It acts as a platform for adding modular functionality with the help of removable modules called Smartblades. Modules can provide more battery life, more storage, air quality sensors, VR headsets, etc.
Turbo 64 Smartblade is one of such modules. Once it is attached to the i-BLADES Smartcase, users are provided with 18 extra hours of talk time, 10 hours video viewing, 64GB memory and additional microSD slot for expandable memory up to 128GB. Another ready-made module is Smart VR Blade, a portable VR headset that attaches to the Smartcase.
Users can pre-order Galaxy S7 Smartcase with Turbo 64 Smartblade for $99. The Smart VR Blade can be added for a total of just $119. Supplies are limited and the offer is available until the end of July exclusively at http://i-blades.co/Galaxy-S7-modular-case.
Earlier this year, i-BLADES announced a partnership with Bosch Sensor-Tech, the world’s leading micro-sensor producer. More Smartblades will be announced later this year.
