Paris Saint-Germain director Leonardo told French TV channel RMC that the golden calf Kylian Mbappe himself wants to leave the club – without being affected by Real Madrid’s conduct in the case.
– We won’t hinder anyone. We said no to the premiere, but if conditions are good, we’ll see, says Leonardo RMC.
He confirms that Real Madrid made an offer to the player and says that it is in the range of one and a half billion. Then it strongly contradicts the transfer tactics of the great Spanish club.
They submit this bid one year before the expiry of his contract and seven days before the transfer period. They are doing this to show that they have tried everything, when in fact they start negotiations until next summer, says the Brazilian.
He also says the rejection was something Real Madrid really wanted, and accuses them of doing so over the past two years.
– It is immoral and even illegal, because they contacted the player directly. This is unacceptable to us, and a great proof of their strategy, continues Leonardo.
And he stresses that even if they say no to Real Madrid’s offer, he will never – in any case – close the doors to the transfer during the last days of the window. The French capital club’s plan is to constantly extend the contract.
– Kylian has always promised us not to leave the club for free (as a Bosman player, newspaper. Note). That’s what he always told us, says Leonardo.
The 22-year-old joined the club from Monaco in 2018.
note! PSG got off to a rough start in the transfer market this summer: Gianluigi Donnarumma (AC Milan), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Georginio Wijnaldum (Liverpool) and Lionel Messi (Barcelona) arrived “for free” – at the end of their contracts – in the French capital.
