We don’t know if you’ve tried this, because we haven’t, but Microsoft warns that Snipping Tool and some other tools won’t work anymore due to the Windows 11 certificate expiring on October 31.
Windows 11 21H2 is affected, but how many are affected?
In addition to the smart screen program, can the following errors:
- User account and home screen in Settings app (S mode only)
- Touch keyboard, voice typing and emoji interface
- IME interface
- Windows 11 “First Steps and Tips”
If you encounter one or more of these errors, you may have installed this update, KB5006746.
It’s weird because we haven’t had any of these issues (although we’re running Windows 11 beta) or The Verge, it’s possible that the certificate has expired the same way, regardless of the device?
The ‘printer nightmare’ continues
There are still problems with network printing after installing Windows 11 KB5006674 and Windows 10 update KB5006670. The bugs were confirmed by Microsoft on Friday.
The error message that may occur when trying to connect to a web printer is as follows:
0x000006e4 (RPC_S_CANNOT_SUPPORT), 0x0000007c (ERROR_INVALID_LEVEL), 0x00000709 (ERROR_INVALID_PRINTER_NAME)”.
