Former cross-country star Bjørn Dæhlie was among the initiators of Anaxo Capital when the company was founded in 2010.

The fund invests in stocks with a focus on the Oslo Stock Exchange, as well as bonds and real estate.

The annual accounts show that in 2023, there was a profit from trades made in the market. Gains from the sale of shares and securities amounted to NOK 162 million, while losses amounted to NOK 133 million. Both parts were lower than in 2022, and the “surplus” here was smaller in 2023 than in 2022.

Meanwhile, Anaxo received larger profits, totaling NOK 78 million. An increase in value rather than the previous year's sharp downward revision and increased interest income also lifted the result, although property write-offs jumped to $37 million.

Anaxo's operating profit reached NOK 93.2 million in 2023, up from NOK 15 million the previous year.

The majority of the fund's investments are in stocks. Anaxo states on its website that the distribution is about 70 percent stocks, 20 percent bonds, and 10 percent property.

At the end of last year, the shares were valued at NOK 1.04 billion, down slightly from NOK 1.13 billion the previous year. Registered property values fell by more than half to NOK 41 million. On the other hand, things went in the opposite direction for bonds, whose value rose to 389 million from 253 million the previous year.

This contributed to the value of investments rising to NOK 1.475 billion at the end of 2023, compared to NOK 1.464 billion in 2022.

In addition to Bjørn Dæhlie, there are famous names such as Eivind Reiten involved in Anaxo as Chairman. Næringslivstoppen is the former CEO of Hydro, a politician and the head of several major companies. Today he is Chairman of the Board of Management of Kongsberg Gruppen. Ole Anker-Rach is a co-founder of Anaxo Capital with Dæhlie, and is currently the fund's bond and property manager.

E24 has attempted to contact Anaxo, so far without receiving a response.
