(Elbil24): Many people appreciate the ability to use CarPlay or Android Auto while driving.
Then the mobile phone takes up the screen in the car, so you have everything from Spotify playlists and messages to charging and parking apps available right on the infotainment screen.
Earlier this week, Apple’s annual developer conference opened where they showed off, among other things, the next versions of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. They also launched there A pair of AR/VR glasses for around NOK 50,000.
CarPlay is part of iOS, and when the update rolls out to all compatible iPhone models in the fall, those who use CarPlay will also get two new functions.
The first is the ability to launch SharePlay directly from the infotainment screen. This means that everyone in the car can help control the music and then ask the driver to subscribe to Apple Music, but this is not required for others in the car.
Furthermore, the Apple Maps app needs to be updated so you can see real-time information about how many charging posts are available at charging stations.
However, Apple hasn’t said anything about the next big CarPlay update, which aims to take over all screens in the car. You can read more about it here:
