Casper Rudd – Ugo Humbert 1-3 (6-3, 2-6. 5-7, 4-6).

Casper Rudd ended Wimbledon, after losing in the second round of the prestigious tournament. France’s Ugo Humbert eventually got too strong for the Norwegian, winning 3-1 in sets.

Rood, ranked sixth in the world and ranked third in the tournament, was the favorite in the second round. The Frenchman ranks 112 in the world.

– It’s a great victory. “Rud has played well for several years, so I’m very happy,” Humbert says after the match.

This was the first time the Norwegian had reached the second round of Wimbledon.

The Frenchman previously reached the fourth round of the tournament, and admits he thrives well on the surface.

– I like to play on the grass, says the French with a smile on his face.

Better opened

Once again, the tennis match had to be postponed due to rain. But after about an hour of waiting, the fight finally began.

Then Rudd was the best, and the Norwegian got the first set according to the recipe 6-3.

The second set started more difficult, and at 1-1, Humbert broke. Thus, Rudd had to do some work to transform the group. He failed and lost the second set.

In the third set, it started off very promising, with Rudd leading 3-0 by one point. But after a few weak rounds, the Norwegian lost the set 5-7, so suddenly Humbert was in the lead.

Lost in the fourth set

In the fourth set, 3-2 in front of Ruud, the Norwegian had several opportunities to break the Frenchman, but Humbert resisted and equalized 3-3.

It must be Rod’s fate.

Humbert fought well in the match again after denying Rudd a break, instead managing to break the Norwegian himself for 4-4. Then all that remained was to achieve victory for the Frenchman on the beach, which he did well.

However, Rudd wasn’t quite finished on Wimbledon turf this time around. Already on Thursday, the Norwegian will take part in the doubles championship with American William Bloomberg. Also will be Ulrike Ikere, who this time included Australian Astra Sharma in the squad.
