Child murder shakes Wales: A five-year-old was abused to death

Five-year-old Logan Mwangi was found on July 31, 2021 in the Ogmore River in the village of Sarn, Wales.

Two days before Logan was found dead in the river, the five-year-old was abused after allegedly spilling soda.

Cole and the 14-year-old attacked Logan and hit him in the stomach. According to the mother’s explanation in the courtroom, the teenager allegedly kicked the boy to the end and hit his head on the ground.

Refutation of evidence jury

Jocelyn Selin, one of the twelve jury members, says BBC That the evidence presented in court was so harsh that she reported being ill from work.

When the pediatrician described how the five-year-old’s final hours were, it broke the jury member.

A social worker was visiting the family home the day before Logan died. The five-year-old was refused interview when her mother blamed her for contracting the coronavirus.

She stayed for 20 minutes and left without seeing or hearing Logan, the BBC wrote.

The next day, security cameras captured Cole and the teenager carrying the five-year-old out of the apartment, before dumping him in the river.

The teen is said to have previously made threats to kill Logan, the former adoptive parents said during the trial.

According to a social worker, the 14-year-old also said that he liked to harm children, and that an orgasm arose from him.

During the trial, it became known that Cole hated the appearance of the five-year-old, because he resembled his father of Kenyan origin.

Outside the courtroom, Father Ben Mwangi said his son was “the most beautiful boy”.

– I loved him too. Somehow I should be able to live, knowing that I won’t see him grow up to be the wonderful man I knew he could be.

The wonderful memories I have of my son will never be destroyed. The father said: They will be in my heart and in my soul forever.
