Corona, business | It distributes 1.9 million Norwegian kroner

This time, the support will go to companies that were not covered by previous compensation plans in connection with the Corona pandemic.

Many businesses have been hit hard by local and national infection control measures during the Corona pandemic. Several different compensation and support schemes have been put in place along the way, and in February Parliament approved another allocation for municipalities particularly hard hit during the pandemic.

– This time the municipality of Tonsberg received just over 1.9 million kroner that will be distributed to the local business community, and this time the money will go to companies that have not received compensation money from the municipality of Tonsberg before, says business manager Oystein Hornevik in the press release.

must apply

On Wednesday, the Environment, Technology and Industry Committee approved the criteria for allocating the support, and the municipal director was authorized to manage the scheme. This means that the administration in the municipality will distribute the subsidy according to certain criteria, and the companies that want to be evaluated must apply for the subsidy.

The scheme targets both travel agencies, travel agency companies, the food industry, conferences, trade fairs, exhibitions, art activities and companies in the entertainment, sports and leisure industries, says Hjørnevik.

Not for teams of associations

The system does not include sports teams, sports clubs, other teams, associations and non-profit organizations. Businesses that are terminated will not receive support either.

This is a nationally announced scheme, and we ask applicants to familiarize themselves well with the documents that must accompany the application, says Hjørnevik.
