Corona virus infection is increasing in several places in Nordmoor.
– On Friday the 21st, we received confirmation of 24 PCR positives on people tested on January 19 and 20. This brings the number of infected people to 101 in Tingvoll. As of January 14, our total number of infected was 23, so we have four times the total in one week.
This is what Chief Municipal Doctor Bjarne Storst wrote in Tingfull Municipality in a press release.
Of the 24 injured, ten are children. They are all students at Tingvoll Primary and Middle School and at Straumsnes School. There are no new infections from Meisingset. None of the asylum seekers were newly infected. Tingvoll High School does not yet have PCR-confirmed students. All students at the school were tested using rapid tests last Wednesday and no one came out with positive answers, Storst writes.
The situation is evaluated as follows:
Nobody gets seriously ill, and most have relatively mild symptoms. The challenge is to maintain an adequate number of staff in education and in the nursing and care sector.
