Elon Musk, Ukraine | Musk is in trouble - asks for help from the Pentagon

Since the beginning of the war, Elon Musk’s Starlink has been an important tool for Ukrainians. Among other things, it allowed the military to communicate despite the fact that the Internet and the mobile phone network were down for periods.

Musk himself says they have delivered nearly 20,000 Starlink stations and that it will cost SpaceX more than $100 million before the end of the year.

But this may stop now because it is simply too expensive. CNN He writes that SpaceX requires the Pentagon to pay tens of millions of dollars each month.

CNN has obtained access to documents sent from SpaceX to the Pentagon. These indicate that Starlink’s financing will cost approximately $400 million over the next 12 months.

– We are not in a position to continue donations to Ukraine, or satellite funding for a longer period, as stated in the letter.

The documents also claim that a Ukrainian general ordered 8,000 new Starlink stations.

In recent weeks, there have also been several reports of Starlink failing. Something that will be of great importance to the Ukrainian forces who are constantly trying to retake parts of the country.

Starlink is the main way our missiles communicate with each other on the battlefield, a military commander told CNN.

Starlink is a system of thousands of tiny satellites that will eventually provide Internet coverage to large parts of the world. SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk, is behind Starlink.
