Marking World Mental Health Day on Monday, October 10, the influencer shared a heartfelt post. Neering wrote in the post that while she didn’t like it, she wasn’t able to “avoid using food in a negative way” after the breakup in August.

“When it got too much for me, I found solace in the fridge. Sounds corny and stupid, but whatever it was, I felt that way. I could stand there for hours and eat without feeling full,” she wrote.

Dagbladet has been in contact with Emilie Voe Nereng, who does not wish to comment further on the case, but is aware that the case is under discussion.

“For me, shame was probably the worst — that, with a background in nutrition, I didn’t know better and lacked self-control,” Neering wrote, describing it as a sad pattern.

In the post, it appears that the same influencer quickly contacted a psychologist for help in dealing with emotions in a different way. However, Neering asserts that everything gets better when she herself does, and that food now has “restored its original function” in everyday life.
