Film “Golden Carriage”: the settlement has arrived – VG

In December last year, VG was able to reveal that Fiksern AS, which supplies special effects, stunts, weapons and precision driving to some of Norway’s biggest films, had sued the producers behind “Gulltransporten”.

The producer, 74 Gullbarrer AS, is a subsidiary of Jørgen Storm Rosenberg and Kjetil Omberg’s 74 Entertainment AS. The company was sued for unpaid bills of more than NOK 600,000.

It was known then that 74 Gullbarrer AS refused to pay subcontractors further in the millions for invoices they did not accept.

If the producers of Viaplay’s current “Gold Transport” were to appear in a courtroom, there is a claim of over $600.

This week it became known that Norsk Jernbaneklubb Krøderbanen had entered into a settlement with 74 Gullbarrer AS after court mediation, according to Village post office. This is the voluntary club that rented historic railway cars to record the “Golden Transport,” which is about shipping Norway’s gold stock before war broke out in 1940.

Jon Øigarden and Ida Elise Broch play two of the main roles in the film, which was Viaplay’s first Norwegian feature film with its premiere in December last year. In other roles we find, among others, Sven Norden and Axel Boeum.

– At the moment, Kröderbanen does not want to come up with any sums, but he can confirm that we have found a solution acceptable to both parties, rail club leader Henrik B. Backer wrote to Bygdeposten.

And now Fiksern has followed suit. Among other things, they provided the explosion and explosion effects of the “Gold Move”. Their claim was NOK 609,568, and managing director Pål Morten Hverven confirms to VG that a settlement was entered into prior to the mediation agreed between the parties.

Originally, a trial was scheduled for the Auster Inlandate County Courthouse on May 10.

– The settlement is fine, all things considered. It would be nice to leave this behind, says Hverven.

VG has yet to obtain comment from 74 Entertainment producers Kjetil Omberg or Jørgen Storm Rosenberg.
