All three major Wall Street indexes ended the week with stocks pointing higher.
- The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished the day 0.50 percent higher and closed at 36,100.11.
- The S&P 500 broad index rose 0.72 percent to 4,682.82.
- The Nasdaq Technology Index became the clear winner today, rising as much as 1.0 percent, to close at 15,860.96.
At the time of closing on Wall Street, the price of oil (Brent Spot) was at $82.13 a barrel, down 0.52 percent.
Big tech stocks Wall Street, Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix and Alphabet (formerly Google), also known as FAANG stocks, are also flashing green.
Facebook rose 4.01 percent to 340.89.
Amazon shares rose 1.52 percent to 3,525.15.
Apple shares rose 1.43% to 149.99.
Netflix shares rose 3.81 percent to 682.61 points.
Google shares rose 2.0 percent to 2,973.56.
The VIX volatility index fell 7.53 percent to 16.33
Tesla stock has been tough in recent days. The stock is down 10.01 percent since Monday and closed at 1033.42 on Friday.
Storeulv, John Fredriksen, had to see his companies flash red on Friday. Golden Ocean and Frontline stock fell 1.96% and 0.71%, respectively.
On the other hand, there was a bad mood in the global cryptocurrency markets on Friday, at the time of closing bitcoin stood at 64148.60, down 0.99 percent, and Ethereum fell 1.01 percent to 4,674.10.
