Many Westerners traveled on the first day of the new year in good weather.

After New Year’s Eve, Bergen was covered in a white dusting and people woke up to blue skies on Sunday.

Many traveled in good weather.

At Fløyen, there were many who enjoyed the view, and some found their skis.

Many chose to travel to Floen on the first day of 2023.
Young and old enjoyed themselves at Fløyen on Sunday.

And the good weather looks set to continue.

At least for a while.

– Bergen is getting off to a good start to the year, says Siri Viberg, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

Temperatures on Monday will be around 0 degrees, he says.

– There may be some rain with snow and ice, but not too much. There will be periods of rest and sun, Wiberg says.

Bergen received heavy snow on New Year’s Day, with a possible white top-up on Monday.
On New Year’s Day Humlestølvegen was fine even though the road was not repaired.

– Mars is the most beautiful day. Meteorologist says it will be hot then.

It’s very uncertain from Wednesday.

According to Year no More cloudy with some rain each day. It is uncertain whether it will come as snow or rain as the temperature is around 0.

Such was the case at Hardankarvita on National Highway 7 on Sunday. The road reopened on Saturday evening.
