Hovland barely under par on the second day of the Memorial Tournament

Victor Hovland looked poised to climb the charts during day two of the Memorial Tournament in Ohio, but got a tough finish on the 18th hole.

The second stroke ended in the thickest weed, and Hovland had to use two strokes to get out. This resulted in a new bogey on the final hole for the golfer who was ranked seventh in the world before the tournament began.

Hovland walked the first two days of the tournament alongside world number one Scotty Scheffler. The American has struggled and looks set to make it to the final two days of the tournament. The cutting limit is three equal strokes. It’s the same thing Scheffler got after two days of playing.
