Hyundai N: Two huge electric cars have been revealed

Just like Audi, BMW and Mercedes, Hyundai also has its own sports car division. It is called N.

The first, the i30 N, made a comeback in 2017. Since then, Hyundai has invested heavily in developing exhilarating driving models.

Now they are following up on two very exciting, recently revealed electric N electric cars: the RN22e and N Vision 74 concept cars.

They play an important role in the strategic development of our entire product portfolio, particularly for high-performance electric vehicles, says Thomas Chimera, Hyundai CEO at CX.

The N Vision 74 is inspired by Hyundai’s history, and the design is based on the Pony Coupe concept since 1974.

Cool design

In recent years Hyundai has made major design moves on its models. The Ioniq 5 and 6 are both good examples of this.

Extreme driving pleasure is the top priority in Hyundai N cars.

With the new RN22e and N Vision 74, they take everything another big step forward. This is not a round design to reduce range as much as possible. This should look, first and foremost, huge.

The RN22e is an all-electric sports car based on Hyundai’s E-GMP electric vehicle platform and the aerodynamic design of the IONIQ 6.

On the other hand, the N Vision 74 is inspired by Hyundai’s history. The design is based on the Pony Coupe concept from 1974, and the first N concept car, the Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo, shown at the N launch in 2015.

The car uses a unique combination of the drivetrain, which is a hydrogen electric hybrid.

Launched next year

Hyundai’s first N model, which will be put on the market, is the upcoming Ioniq 5 N. In other words, a sporty version of today’s best-selling car in Norway.

It will be launched next year. Then more details become known.

We think the car won’t be far behind in the performance of its sister model Kia EV6 GT. The latter produces 585 hp and controls from 0-100 km / h in 3.5 seconds.

In just seven years, Hyundai N has become the fastest performing brand, says Hyundai N Brands and Motorsport Senior Manager, Till Wartenberg.

Confirmed: This remedy is coming to Norway!

In the electric future, N will continue to operate according to its three pillars:

  1. rascal corner (a tight, perfectly balanced machine through turns)
  2. Track capability (all N models are designed to be track-capable)
  3. Everyday sports car (a sports car for all kinds of needs, not just days on the track).
