Kristine Stavå’s GJØVIK (VG) Skistad is among the favorites in the NM race and she didn’t disappoint at the front in Gjøvik.
Christine Stavos Skestad The best of the front went on Thursday.
– I think Skistad went fantastically well. She was very calm and really created strength. It’s probably a trail that would suit her well, said Therese Johaug, NRK’s cross-country skiing expert.
– It’s been a long time since I’ve been skating fast, so it feels good to get off to a good start, Stavos Skistad told NRK after the introduction.
Mathilde Myhrvold was second behind Stavos Skistad. Ane Appelkvist Stenseth was third.
Eric Valens won the men’s race prologue. Valnis is the winner of the NM race.
— It feels totally raw, Valens told NRK after the introduction.
He was even ahead of the men. Only 2.2 seconds separated Valnes’ time and Finn Hagen-Krug’s eleventh-place finish.
– It’s a track with great speed. The level in the men’s team is insanely high, we saw that at the World Cup this season,” said Johoj.
