At 18.27 this evening, police went to an address at Eganes Cemetery in Stavanger. A short time later, police found a man in an apartment at that address, police said in a press release.

Both an ambulance and an ambulance attended to assist the police.

– The man was pronounced dead a short time later. Police prosecutor Frederick Martin Soma says the circumstances at the scene mean police are treating the case as a homicide.

Hunting the culprit

The police have yet to arrest the culprit, but as reported to NRK, several witnesses have come forward with descriptions of the man involved.

A heavy police force raided the area on Saturday evening. They also patrolled with specially trained Boity dogs to trace the culprit’s disappearance from the spot.

They circled an increasingly large area around the apartment building, knocking on doors and talking to neighbors.

A scream was heard

Half an hour after the incident, forensic technicians wearing protective gear entered the apartment to secure technical clues that could provide answers to what happened.

Forensic investigations at the scene will continue throughout the evening and night, police said.

– Several witnesses have been interviewed and the work will continue, the police write in a press release.

A witness told NRK about a loud scream shortly before police arrived at the scene.
