Massive fire after attack on oil plant

A major fire broke out at noon on Friday at an oil depot near the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.

Houthi rebels from Yemen took responsibility, writing in a statement that they were behind several attacks on the Saudi oil company Aramco.

According to Al Arabiya, the fire must now be brought under control and no one was injured.

Recently, the Houthis attacked Saudi Arabia several times.

The burning oil deposit is now located right next to the Formula 1 track where races will be held this weekend.

Norway’s Dennis Hoeger finished 11th in Formula 2 qualifying on the track on Friday.
