Unfortunately for coaches Erling Mo and Molde, they ended up losing in a penalty shootout against Trabzonspor in the third round of the UEFA Europa League qualifiers.

First of all, I am proud of my players. We pride ourselves on being brave, defending ourselves and meeting a very good team. This may be the toughest draw in a guy’s memory, but we show we’re reasonably good European at what we do, Moldy coach Erling Mo summarizes.

Substitutes, Eric Hollande Andersen and David Fofana, became scapegoats in the penalty shootout. Öland Andersen hit the crossbar while Fofana’s attempt was very baffling.

– When it comes to penalties, well, of course we’re disappointed, but that’s how it is, says Mo.

Anders Trondsen put the final penalty kick for Trabzonspor, who consequently meet with Jose Mourinho’s Roma for the right to join the group stage.

It was fun to have my first official match since my injury. A bit special, and an extra good to be able to pinpoint the fifth penalty. It means a lot to me, Trondsen says on the VGTV broadcast, and it’s good to do it against Molde as well.

– More than two matches were seen, it’s okay for Trabzonspor to go forward, Burnt Holsker sums up in the VGTV broadcast in his birth.

Icelandic “The Forgotten” Björn Bergmann Sigurdarsson, who struggled with injuries after returning to Molde in February, showed routine, strength and pure quality when Erling Mo needed it most.

A pole fell from Stian Gregersen in the Sigurdarson district. The 30-year-old got the ball to Ola Brynhildsen, before sprinting toward Trabzonspor’s goal and rushing to Brynhildsen’s end. The equalizer approached seven minutes of overtime.

The long goal rule has been removed from all European Championships. So Sigurdarsson scored 1-1 (4-4 overall) in “only” extra rounds.

Trabzonspor led 1-0 after less than an hour of playing. Edgar lé took advantage of dullness in Molde’s defense when he met a corner kick from Tasos Bakasetas.

Molde was completely on par with the Turks, but he did not create the whole world in the second half. Everything indicates that Trabzonspor will go off in victory, but that was before Sigurdarsun entered the field.
