Monaco appears to have pulled the longest straw in its hunt for Takumi Minamino.

On Tuesday night it was reported by French journalists at foot mercato That Liverpool and Monaco agreed on a price of 15 million euros, about 13 million pounds for the Japanese.

Sky Sports It reported that the total value of the agreement is 15.5 million pounds, and Foot Mercato’s 13 million reports are guaranteed. The amount will be paid in five installments, according to Santi Aouneh and Sebastien Denis in the French newspaper.

David Ornstein, Neil Jones and Fabrizio Romano joined the reports as well.

In a battle with the Premier League clubs

Southampton and Leeds United were clear in their interest in the past, but now it seems certain that Monaco is securing the Japanese.

He must already agree to personal terms with the club, and only medical examinations remain before the transfer is confirmed.

Minamino signed from RB Salzburg in Winter 2020 for £7.25 million. Just this season, the 27-year-old has emerged in the red with ten goals en route to winning the League Cup and the FA Cup, many of which are significant.

Now he appears to have sold for nearly twice what was brought in for him, after winning the Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup.
