Tomorrow is Midsummer Eve, and sun, swimming and bonfires for many.

The weather will provide, but fires should probably be avoided, says meteorologist Julie Solsvik Vaughan.

Against the “Holiday Myth.”

– In mid-summer, the weather is good in both south, east and west. There will be lots of sun and good temperatures.

He says that tomorrow will be a good day for southern and eastern Norway.

– In southern and eastern Norway, the weather will be fine and temperatures around 20 to 25 degrees will be adequate.

In the west it will be fine too.

– Western Norway will have slightly better temperatures tomorrow than today, and between 15 and 20 degrees.

— Various in the north

However, as far as northwest Norway and Nordland, there will be some precipitation, according to Vaughan.

– More severe weather in the north. In Møre and Romsdal, Trøndelag and Nordland, the day will start slightly gray with rain. The rain will then eventually move north to Trams and Finnmark during Friday.

In the north of the country, the weather has been glorious today and will continue to do so, according to the meteorologist.

– At 4pm today, Purduefos measured 27.5 degrees.

– In the far north of the country, the weather will hold its own with the current high temperatures. Troms and Finnmark experienced high temperatures today and it may soon be the same tomorrow.

Great fire hazard

Although Midsummer’s Eve is the big bonfire day, it’s best to leave the matches at home.

Southerners can also enjoy the sun this weekend, says Vaughan.

– In the south, we are facing a weekend of good weather and it looks like they are entering a long period of good weather and high temperatures.

The weather will also improve for those in southwestern Norway and central Norway.

– Eventually we’ll see more progress in the north, with Møre and Romsdal and Trøndelag looking to have better weather over the weekend.

In Nordland, the rainy weather is unfortunately short-lived.

– But the precipitation will last a bit longer in Nordland, and Saturday could be a bit wet and gray there.

– Above normal

Vaughan says June this year was hotter than last year in most parts of the country.

– In Bergen it was 2.5 degrees above normal in June, in Oslo it was more than 3, while in Trondheim it was 2.

– Bodø was average, same as Tromsø, but they had a good start to the month.
