During a widely broadcast live Thursday evening, the world-famous Swedish pop group ABBA announced that they will be releasing new music.

We took a break in the spring of 1982 and have now decided to end it. It is said that it is stupid to wait more than 40 years between albums, so we recorded a sequel to “The Visitors,” the group said in a press release.

The album is called “Voyage” and contains ten songs. ABBA’s recovery project has been ongoing since they recorded their first two songs in 2018.

– When we had these two songs, I felt a little heavy, “Shall we not do more?” And we did a little more and it turned out really well and since then we thought we’d drive and run an entire album, Benny Anderson tells SVT.

Broadcasts are broadcast live from many of the world’s major cities, including New York, London, Berlin, Rio de Janeiro, and not the least of which is ABBA’s hometown, Stockholm. (You can watch the broadcast at the top of the article).

ABBA-TARER: Benny Andersson (74), Anni-Frid Lyngstad (75), Agnetha Fältskog (71) and Björn Ulvaeus (76) in costumes used at the new concert.

In a press release, ABBA wrote that “the inspiration to record music again comes from helping create the strangest and most amazing concert you could ever dream of.”

We will be able to sit in the audience and watch our digital selves perform our songs on stage in a custom-built arena in London next spring. Fabulous and amazing!

They further write that they are navigating uncharted waters, and that they will travel to the future with the help of their younger selves.

– It’s not easy to explain, but it hasn’t happened before either.

The four-leaf clover herself will not be on stage and perform the new album, but the holograms.

– When you come to the arena, you’ll have the four of us with a great squad. Anderson says that even if we weren’t there in person, we would still be there.

The concerts will take place on May 27, 2022, and will consist of 22 songs, some of which are taken from the ABBA catalog of songs.

Return: ABBA when they won Eurovision with the song “Waterloo” in 1974.

The pop group is one of the world’s best-selling music artists and has sold nearly 150 million records worldwide.

In 2010, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in 2015, the hit single “Dancing Queen” was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

ABBA was on the top of one of the biggest pop groups in the world and sold millions of albums. Recently, their music has also reached a new and younger audience through the “Mamma Mia” films, among others.

The group achieved great success after the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 and is known for a number of hit songs, including: “SOS” (1975), “Dancing Queen” (1976), “Money, Money, Money” (1976), “Take A Chance On Me” (1978), “Chiquitita” (1979), “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (The Man After Midnight »(1979).
