A 22-year-old woman died Thursday from injuries she sustained at last week’s Astroworld Festival.
22-year-old Bharti Shahani died Thursday of injuries sustained during the tragedy of the concert at rapper Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival in Houston last Friday.
Shahani studied at Texas A&M University, and died after family attorney James Lasseter from “terrible injuries” sustained during the party.
She was at the concert with her sister and cousin who survived. Earlier this week, she declared her brain dead, according to TMZ.

“We want to make sure that those who decided to make a profit on the safety of children’s lives are held accountable,” Attorney Lasseter said at a Thursday evening news conference.
Shahani’s parents were present during the press conference, clearly affected by the loss of their daughter.
Mohit Balani, Shahani’s cousin, said at the press conference: – If they had not covered us with barriers on all three sides, this would not have happened.
