Olaf Andreas Ervik, Senior Director at Aker and Salmar joint salmon investment, resigns.
It appears in a message at noon on Tuesday. The report said he resigned due to “family reasons, including moving from a residence in Vestvagwe (Lofoten)”.
New fish farming collaboration between Kjell Inge Røkkes Aker and Witzøe family company Salmar It was launched in August of this year.
Ervik will retire in the spring of 2022 as a senior manager, but will continue as a consultant at the same company.
One of the most interesting and inspiring things you can do in this industry is to have a central role in the development of sea-based agriculture along with a competent and strong team. Situation permitting, I would have liked to continue as CEO. But I am now looking forward to contributing from a new position, Ervik says in the company’s press release.
SalMar Aker Ocean CEO Atle Eide says about the search for a new senior manager.
Ervik’s wand-grabbing mission is an important leadership position in a future-oriented industry. Ervik and the team have done a great job so far. In the next stage, a new global industrial company will be built in which Norway will play a technical, market and operational leadership role at the international level. We are looking for a senior manager with heavy industry experience, drawn to creating something completely new – in close dialogue with two of Norway’s most efficient and professional property environments, SalMar and Aker, Eddy says in the press release.
