Forberg comes from his role as President of Telenor Asia.
Petter-Børre Furberg takes over as CEO of Posten Bring from Tone Wille, who announced in October that she would be leaving during 2024.
Posten's new CEO has a background at Telenor. The 56-year-old joined the company in 1998 and, among other things, led Telenor Norway and Telenor Norden. Today he is the Chairman of Telenor Asia.
– After 25 years of working in the Telenor system, an opportunity arose to rise to the top of a large group. I want to try something new, and this is the dream job in my opinion,” Forberg says in a letter.

The mission begins on August 1.
– He has a good and relevant background from a large group having managed large and complex companies both in Norway and the Nordic countries and internationally, says Chairman of the Board Anne-Karin Tannum in Posten Bring.
Forberg will likely take a pay cut when he changes jobs.
The annual salary as CEO of Posten will be NOK 6.45 million, plus pension according to the company's standard pension scheme. This is equivalent to the salary of the company's current CEO, according to the report. Boss Posten has no reward.
At Telenor, he received NOK 7.69 million in total compensation in 2022. The pension accounted for NOK 765,000 of this amount.
Before Telenor, Forberg worked, among others, at DNB, the Ministry of Finance and Storting. He is a member of the Board of Directors of DNB today, and will continue to do so as CEO of Posten.
