The F-150 is Ford’s famous American pickup truck. The electric car version called Lightning was launched a long time ago in the USA. Now it comes to Norway, as the first country outside the United States.

As the first country outside of North America, Ford will open from April 20 to orders from Norway for one of the most talked-about and in-demand electric vehicles of recent years: the Ford F-150 Lightning 5-seater pickup. It was announced during an international press conference. Held in stunning surroundings in Oslo today.

The new F-150 Lightning is an extra-large and spacious five-person pickup truck. It is 5.91 meters long, 2.44 meters wide and 1.99 meters high.

So what is the price? The “well-equipped” Ford refers to, the “Lariat Launch Edition” costs NOK 1,183,000. Ford announces a possible lower price:

“The price will be able to come down somewhat when we have a full overview of the costs of converting the car to Norwegian standards, and the final price will be clarified before customers sign the contract. Potential customers can already go to ford.no and register their interest in purchasing the new all-electric rawhide .”

The car can be charged from 15 to 80 percent in 39 minutes thanks to a 150 kW charger.

This is what Ford said about the car

“With all-wheel drive as standard, and the first F-150 with independent rear suspension, and a low center of gravity, the F-150 Lightning’s handling and handling are very good—whether it’s on wet roads, snow, sand, or on the highway. The all-electric five-seater is also equipped with four different driving modes that automatically optimize it for different driving scenarios: Normal, Sport, Off-Road, and Tow.

The undercarriage is reinforced with sheet metal to protect the battery and motor in rough terrain. The battery case is waterproof and protected by a shock-absorbing material.

The new F-150 Lightning comes with Ford’s new SYNC4 infotainment system and a 15.5-inch touchscreen. From this you can, among other things, get a complete overview of how much weight you have on your pallet at any given time using “on-board scales”. With Pro Trailer Backup Assistant, backing up a trailer becomes much easier as you can monitor the reverse from the SYNC display and maneuver the vehicle and trailer using a separate spinning wheel.

SYNC4 gives you wireless access to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A fully digital 12-inch instrument cluster helps enhance the digital experience in the pickup.

The Norwegian model comes with a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and both heated and cooled front seats. The F-150 Lightning also comes with a B&O Premium Sound audio system with 8 speakers and a subwoofer as standard.

With Pro Power Onboard, F-150 Lightning owners can use the vehicle’s battery as a power source for power tools or other electrical products, up to 2.3 kW (2,300 watts).

Under the hood – which can be opened electrically – there is a huge 400-liter disposable oven in which you can carry more than 180 kg. The waterproof room is very practical – whether for work or leisure.
