The legendary ambassador of the saints resigned

Southampton legend Matt Lee Desire (53) has announced on Twitter that he will step down as ambassador for the Premier League club.

The 53-year-old played 16 seasons at the club from 1986 to 2002, and retired the day after posting some Twitter messages about the coverage of the war in Ukraine.

“I have decided to step down from the post of ambassador to the monks. Views are mine and have always been, and it’s important that I take this step today to avoid misunderstandings. “

The news comes after Le Dzier came under heavy criticism after he published a report in which he openly believed that the press had lied about the brutality in Ukraine (see photo below).

The news in question was later removed, and Le Tissier writes condemning the war, but questioning the coverage of the press.
