Renate Rensev and Anders Danielsen Lee spent large parts of the year together promoting and attending the awards ceremonies for Joachim Trier’s The Worst Man in the World.
The film was an international success, with an Oscar and Cannes nomination for Reinsve, and at home it was nominated for a total of nine Amanda Awards and win – win Five of them.
In August, it became known that the duo will star in the new horror film “Håndtering av Udøde”, or “Handling the Undead”, which diverse Type.
Different zombie movie
The action takes place on a hot summer day in Oslo, but from the description, there will be no idyllic sights from the capital. Because after all the electronics are down, the recently dead are suddenly resurrected, the zombies.
TrustNordisk secured the rights to the film, which was directed by film debutante novelist Thea Hvistendahl.
Her goal is to make a zombie movie different from anything we’ve seen before. Susan Wendt, CEO of TrustNordisk, says of the director’s vision, it’s serious, heartbreaking, and very calming.
It was announced on Wednesday that the film will be shown abroad. American distributor NEON has acquired the rights to examine in the United States and the United Kingdom.
The film is expected to be released for the first time in the fall of 2023.
Director Hvistendal tells Variety that Anders Danielsen Lie has been part of the project since 2019, and that Reinsve joined after seeing the audition over a year ago.
– I love the worst person in the world and the work they do in this movie. Hvistendahl says they are great actors.
The other Norwegians in the cast are Björn Sundquist and Bent Borsum.
