Torbjørn Kjus goes to Aker BP – E24

The oil expert moves from one Røkke company to another.

The former oil analyst has served as chief economist at Kjell Inge Røkke-controlled Aker since 2019. He is now moving to oil company Aker BP, where he will take on the same role.

– I have always had a split role between Aker and Aker BP, but that is where I spent most of my time at Aker, Kjus wrote in an SMS to E24.

Kjus says that in the future he will spend most of his time at Aker BP and has therefore changed his office location and main focus to Aker BP.

– But I'm still sitting in the same building I live in at Aker and will still spend part of my time updating management and the board at Aker and being a facilitator for the analysis network in the Aker family.

– So there's very little drama in this, but I'm looking forward to focusing more on the most valuable part of Aker's system.
