It was Northern lights who reported the news of the school fire.
The police were informed about the fire at the school in Qualisleta at around 10pm on Monday. When the emergency services arrived, there was heavy smoke and flames.
Around 10:40 p.m., the fire outside the school building was extinguished and firefighters were investigating inside the school, police said.
No one was reported injured.
Later in the evening, around 11 o’clock, the police wrote that the ventilation was taking place.
Fire officials said the fire must have started under a stairwell at the top of the building.
– Something burned under it, and we think it was styrofoam. “We don’t know what’s causing it,” says Fred Johnson, head of Tromsø Fire and Rescue. in Tromsø.
– The cause of the fire is unknown. Work is ongoing at the school of a technical nature and investigations are being carried out at the site to see if this is related to the development of the fire.
The fire service still does not know if the fire at Sandnessund School in Tromsø on Monday evening was arson.
