USA – A mother of two has disappeared without a trace

For more than a week, no one saw 26-year-old Madeleine Kingsbury. On Friday, nearly 2,000 people turned out to search for the mother of two who disappeared from Winona, Minnesota, on March 31.

Police described the disappearance as “suspicious” and “involuntary”.

The family is offering a $50,000 reward for information on her whereabouts.

– Please help us find Madeline. Children need their mother. We need our daughter, sister, aunt and best friend back,” says Megan Kingsbury, Kingsbury’s older sister, according to CBS.

We know this

Kingsbury and the children’s father left home at 08:00 on Friday morning to drop the children off to daycare, and at about 08:15 they were said to have returned home.

The children’s father then explained to the police that he had left the house around 10:00 in the Kingsbury car. But when he got home, she was said to be gone.

Meanwhile, police said Kingsbury did not show up for work and did not take the children from foster care.

– All this is completely different from her, the police said in a statement.

Her phone, wallet and the jacket she was wearing that morning were found in the house.

The couple’s car, a dark blue 2014 Chrysler Town & Country, has become an important part of the investigation.

Police say a vehicle matching this description has been seen on County Road 12 and Highway 43 in Winona County and south on Highway 43 in eastern Fillmore County.

The police don’t want to say anything about who was driving that car, write hv news.

Later, a car resembling a Chrysler was seen on the way back to Winona on Highway 43. From 1:30 in the afternoon onwards, police ensured that the car was in the driveway of the house.

Because of the potential car sighting, the police focused their search for Kingsbury in these very areas.

– No suspects

Winona Police Chief Tom Williams says the investigation remains open and active, and there are hundreds of leads, but so far they don’t have any suspects.

– Based on the investigation, we know that the children have been dropped off at the nursery and the car has returned home. We’re still investigating what happened when they got home, according to Williams NBC News.

He adds:

– There is nothing yet to indicate that Maddy left the house on foot or in another vehicle, he says.
