Fighting for the city

According to his father, Jordan died in Severodonetsk. A city of just over 100,000 residents in the Luhansk region of eastern Ukraine, where fighting has broken out in recent weeks.

If Russia captures the city, they will control the whole of Luhansk.

In a Ukrainian television broadcast, the city’s mayor, Serhij Gayday, said he assumed the Russians would do everything in their power to take the city either Sunday or Monday.
