Two newcomers in the best national team in Ståle Solbakken
Andreas Schildrup was presented on Wednesday as part of the Ståle Solbakken senior national team.
– It's a reward for a good season. This could be a push for him to take the next step, Solbakken says of Schildrup.
The 19-year-old, on loan from Portuguese side Benfica, has scored ten goals and provided 11 assists in 38 appearances. He was one of the team's best players.
Glimt analyst Jostein Gundersen is also on the team. He moved from Tromsø to arch-rivals Glimt this winter.
“We want him to get to know the environment a little and for us to get to know him a little,” says Solbakken.
Norway will face Kosovo first at Ulleval Stadium on June 5, then against EC-ready Denmark at Brondby Stadium on June 8.
