With three games without a win, including a humiliating 1-2 loss to arch-rivals Manchester United in the previous round of the league, there were some revenge-starved hosts who faced Bournemouth.
This victory was comparable to the club’s biggest victory in the Premier League in England, a 9-0 victory over Crystal Palace on 12 September 1989. That was before the league was dubbed the Premier League.
The 9-0 is also the biggest win in Premier League history. Manchester United beat Ipswich 9-0 in 1995 before Southampton met the same fate last February.

The big club is now eighth in the table with five points after four league rounds. Manchester City leads with ten points from the same number of matches.
