Liverpool won 9-0! restricted record

– very well. We wanted to show a reaction. Be ourselves. To become the best version of ourselves. We scored amazing goals. Klopp told the BBC it was a matter of continuity.

With three games without a win, including a humiliating 1-2 loss to arch-rivals Manchester United in the previous round of the league, there were some revenge-starved hosts who faced Bournemouth.

This victory was comparable to the club’s biggest victory in the Premier League in England, a 9-0 victory over Crystal Palace on 12 September 1989. That was before the league was dubbed the Premier League.

The 9-0 is also the biggest win in Premier League history. Manchester United beat Ipswich 9-0 in 1995 before Southampton met the same fate last February.

Leicester also beat Southampton 9-0. It happened in 2019.

On Saturday, Liverpool took no more than two minutes before rocking the black-clad guests.

Roberto Firmino hit a beautiful cross towards the back post, as Luis Diaz rose to lead the hosts up front.

Firmino was responsible for the passes ahead of all three goals, and thus had a hat-trick of assists in less than half an hour. Then all he would lose was that he was also responsible for the fourth objective of the landlords.

The Brazilian skated the ball into the roof of the net on the volleyball after Mohamed Salah hit a cross that passed through Jefferson Lerma, before Firmino hit the ball.

Just before the break, it was Virgil van Dijk’s turn to throw his hands in the air after he nodded at Liverpool’s fifth goal from a corner kick.

Liverpool continued their massive pressure after the break and it took no more than a minute for Chris Mepham to shove the ball into his net after Alexander-Arnold crossed into the penalty area.

Even with three assists and one goal, Firmino did not finish humiliating the guests from the south. The striker needed two attempts to come back, but in the end he scored Liverpool’s seventh goal of the night.

New signature record

New Liverpool player Fabio Carvalho also scored a goal after being played by Costas Tsimikas.

Diaz put the ice on the cake when Liverpool header 9-0 from a corner.

Liverpool opened the season with a 2-2 away draw with Fulham before drawing 1-1 at home against Crystal Palace. The first loss of the season came already in the third round of the league away to Manchester United when they lost 1-2.

The big club is now eighth in the table with five points after four league rounds. Manchester City leads with ten points from the same number of matches.
