Harmony Harper, 8, of Kansas, was hit and killed on a school bus shortly before 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, local police said.
The incident occurred outside the family’s home in Wichita, when the eight-year-old was waiting to board the bus to school.

Police Chief Benjamin Blake says emergency services provided life-saving first aid, but no lives were saved.
The eight-year-old was declared dead at the scene shortly afterwards.
None of the bus passengers were injured in the accident.
