Eddie Nkeitia doubled the hosts’ lead in the middle of the second half. The striker ran a weak back vertical from Liam Cooper, passed the ball over Ilan Meslier and put the ball into the goal.

With the exception of White, Pepé and Emile Smith Rowe, Arsenal started with a relatively reserve team. Martin Odegaard was expected to play time in Tuesday’s game, but the Norwegian was not in the squad.
