At least two sent to hospital after house shooting in Enköping - VG

Two people have been taken to hospital after a shooting incident in Enkoping outside Stockholm. The police are chasing the perpetrators.

The police were notified of the incident at 48:19, and went out with several patrols.

– Shots were fired from outside and into the house through windows and doors, police spokesman Magnus Jansson Claren tells VG

Several people were at home, Clarin says and states that two people have been confirmed infected so far and have been sent to hospital.

The extent of the damage is currently unknown

A 45-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman are on their way to the hospital. We don’t know how dangerous it is, Clarin says.

Find the culprits

Klarin says the police have significant resources to hunt down potential culprits. So far, no one has been arrested.

We do not know whether we are dealing with one or more of the perpetrators. We’re now searching with helicopter, sniffer dogs, and drones, Clarin says.

The shooting took place in a listed house near the woods. Police said the place was cordoned off for further investigation.

I don’t know the motive

The police received a report of the shooting from someone inside the house who was shot, he writes Express.

They have launched an investigation into the attempted murder and serious violations of Sweden’s gun law.

– So far, there is no clear motive for this, Clarin tells VG.
