Casper Ruud reaches the semi-finals of the Monte Carlo Masters – meets Novak Djokovic

Djokovic and Ruud have met five times before. Ruud lost all the matches.

Djokovic did not have much difficulty defeating Alex de Minaur in the quarter-finals, as he won in two straight sets (7-5, 6-4).

In the third and decisive set, the Norwegian regained the lead. Ruud was outclassed and quickly rose to 5-1 in matches, but he had to work hard in the final match. In the second match ball, the boy from Snaroia decided in his favour, securing a place in the semi-finals of the Monte Carlo Masters.

With this victory, Ruud rises to seventh place in the world rankings.

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Jannik Sinner will meet in the second semi-final. It will be held at 1:30 p.m

Tsitsipas defeated Russian Karen Khatyanov in straight sets (6-4, 6-2) in the quarter-finals. Jannik Sinner defeated Holger Rönn (6–4, 6–7, 6–3).
