MMA legend Conor McGregor (35 years old) will return to the cage. It will happen on June 29 in Las Vegas.
The opponent's name is Michael Chandler.

The Irishman was apparently photographed celebrating New Year's Eve and enjoying a glass of wine.
He says the fight will be held at middleweight, which neither McGregor nor Chandler has fought before. It will then be the fourth weight class in the UFC that McGregor has entered.

This is McGregor's first fight since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in July 2021. Chandler also lost to Poirier in his last fight. This happened in November 2022. Chandler will turn 38 in June 2024.
Both McGregor and Chandler were coaches on the UFC reality series The Ultimate Fighter earlier this year. There was talk of a fight at the time, but nothing happened because McGregor was not part of the USADA system.
It has not been announced that the event will be held in Las Vegas in June, but according to several media outlets it will be UFC 302. McGregor-Chandler has not been officially announced by the UFC either. Many experts on social media are questioning the weight class selection and whether the bout will take place at all.
