Good and bad news on the injury front

Pending possible transfers for Fabinho and Jordan Henderson, many were stunned when Tyler Morton was not part of the squad that traveled to Germany.

And the midfielder was waiting on board, especially given the situation in Liverpool’s midfield at the moment.

Insider David Lynch reported Monday that the 20-year-old is in the final stages of rehabilitation for a broken foot.

The 20-year-old midfielder returned from a loan spell at Blackburn earlier this summer. It yielded 40 matches, but a place outside the tournament’s playoffs.

Morton was hoping to prove himself to Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool this summer, but the chances will be much lower due to injury.

In conclusion, Lynch wrote that it remains uncertain if the 20-year-old will be ready for the Tour of Asia at the end of the month.

Someone has more positive news to report about 2004 model Kaede Gordon. The winger struggled with injuries for a long time, ruining the entire last season.

Liverpool have high expectations of Gordon, but he is now training with the U21 side at home on Merseyside.

Gordon was brought in from Derby in the summer two years ago. In the 18-year-old’s first season in red, he made his Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup debuts. He also scored an amazing goal against Shrewsbury.

In the 2022/23 season, the winger finished without a match, for the under-18s, under-21s and the first team. We are crossing our fingers that he will soon be back and playing games for Liverpool.
