Hydrovolt, Øra |  Ole-Christen (39) will be the new boss at Øra

Hydrovolt, a joint venture between Northvolt and Hydro, which opened its Ora plant in May 2022, (see map at the bottom of the issue) has appointed Ole-Christen Enger as its new managing director.

He will take office during the fall. Enger will replace Peter Qvarfordt, who led the company in the start-up phase and who, according to a company press release, “decided to explore new opportunities outside the company.”

Ole-Christen Enger has experience in the recycling industry. He comes from the position of Vice President, Head of Finance and Control of the Recycling Business Unit at Norsk Hydro, a position he has held since 2020.

The largest in Europe

Hydrovolt operates Europe’s largest electric vehicle battery recycling plant in Ora.
