Jurgen Klopp said in a press conference Friday before the Wolverhampton match, that he wants to use Mohamed Salah, Fabinho and Virgil van Dijk in the season final against Wolverhampton on Sunday, but he does not know if that is possible.

Klopp said he looks good for the two players and ideally he plays all three this weekend to get a fighting rhythm, albeit as a substitute.

Salah and Van Dijk had to go out with thigh and knee injuries respectively in last weekend’s FA Cup final, while Fabinho was replaced with a hamstring injury in the match against Aston Villa last week.

– Klopp said they would be involved if at all possible, but I’m not sure.

Gomez was lucky

Klopp also confirmed the news, which came a few days ago, that there is no doubt about the injury of Joe Gomez, who stabbed the fans when he left the field against Southampton in excruciating pain on May 17.

Yesterday an extra check was done to make sure, and as we thought after the match, we were lucky. It was a real hit, Klopp said, but no more than that.

– It was the same leg where he was seriously injured, so everyone was worried. I was so until I saw Joe’s face in the wardrobe. “I think we know our bodies better,” Klopp said.

It remains to be seen if Gomez will join Sunday’s game.

– It depends on whether there is any pain. “We’ll see what Joe can do in training today and tomorrow,” Klopp said.

For now, Liverpool are on the cusp of having an injury-free squad again.
