Yesterday it became known that star chef and judge Jock Zonfrilo had passed away. He lived 46 years.
The family confirmed the death on Zonfrillo’s Instagram.
“With broken hearts, and not knowing how we can go on with life without him, we are saddened to announce that Jock passed away yesterday,” they wrote in the post.
The cause of death is currently unknown.
The announcement of Zonfrillo’s death came on the same day that Season 15 of ‘MasterChef Australia’ was scheduled to premiere.
The cooking show announced that the season had been postponed due to a death.
However, he writes, it didn’t quite go according to plan daily Mail.
According to the Daily Mail, there are now clips of Zonfrillo from the season premiere online, after the episode was accidentally uploaded.
The first 17 minutes of ‘MasterChef Australia’ were available for all to see on Tuesday and included Zonfrillo welcoming this year’s contestants.

The episode was deleted after the Daily Mail Australia learned of the blunder by Channel 10.
According to sources, it will be up to Zonfrillo’s wife, Lauren Fried, when the season begins airing on TV.
– It’s up to Jock’s family and what they feel he wants. Commercially, in terms of timing, this is a disaster. It is simply diabolical. Sources told Daily Mail Australia that not even a major TV company would be ruthless enough to put anything other than the Jock family’s wishes above all else.
In addition to his wife, Lauren Fried, Zonfrillo is survived by children Ava, Sophia, Alfie, and Isla.
